Mathilde Chiffert

Project Director

Mathilde Chiffert is a Project Director for the Africa region, where she specialises on migration governance issues. Prior to joining Altai Consulting, Mathilde worked as a legal consultant for international human rights NGOs in West Africa, focusing on domestic and international criminal law proceedings as well as corporate accountability issues. She also worked at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (‘Khmer Rouge Tribunal’) and at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Mathilde holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas, a Master’s in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and an LL.M from the Georgetown University Law Center. She is qualified to practice law in Paris and New York.
