Mixed Migration in Chad

Altai was contracted by UNHCR to conduct research on mixed migration in Chad. The study aimed to map refugee and migrant communities as well as migration routes in Chad, understand the drivers of migration, and provide information on smuggling and human trafficking networks. It also analyzes the vulnerabilities of people on the move and maps the services available to them to identify gaps in assistance. Additionally, the study includes up-to-date information on the legal and policy framework governing mobility in Chad. Finally, Altai formulated a set of recommendations for UNHCR and its partners to better assist and protect people on the move in Chad.
